Panda's Kitchen was founded in summer 2009 by Amanda Mancuso and her college roommate Melodie Haider. The two began making cookies in their dorm room to help raise money for field hockey club. They raised enough money to fund new uniforms for the whole team and the double chocolate brownies became a fundraising sensation. They created, packaged, and sold hundreds of these tasty treats every week until they realized they would need to move their business into a larger kitchen.
After moving into their new kitchen space at Melodie's mothers house, the two discovered quickly that it was extremely hard to keep up with their small business. They realized they could not meet the demand over the next few months while enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program. By winter, the business began to slow and the passion for baking decreased all together. Colaboratively they both decided morphing the brownie business into a less messy version and opened Panda's Kitchen. Panda's kitchen is your kithen's creative solution for creative utensils and tools.
